Review:
Djin Suk Kim
Djin Suk Kim has recently focused on creating mixed media paintings and installations applying the materials like translucent or transparent papers, screes, balloons, household items, magazines, a vast variety of mass-media images, watered down paint and pastel etc. She starts her process of making art by pulling out images from her memory which are mostly about sexuality and distorted love, portrayed from a feminist point of view criticizing the sexual harassment and the victimization of female sexuality. Available research materials of Djin Suk Kim in the AAAC Archives are 44 slides, 12 colored Xeroxed copies of her works and Xeroxed copies of the photographs of her paintings.
