Review:
Dino Blanche Dino Blanch has created paintings and sculptures which expresses his meditative state of mind. In his meditation, the artist explains, he reflects on ancestral spirits and their relationship to the human aura. The artist believes that his working method using a multitude of lines enables him to portray the complex relationships of many spirit bodies in the same space at the same time. The artist has studied and taught Japanese martial arts called Jujitsu, Tai Chi, Wing Chun and Lok Hop Ba Fa. He mentions on his experience of at the same time doing the martial arts and making art works that "eventually my interest for body-mind, Zen meditation, Taoism found its way into my drawings and sculptures. The two arts, martial arts and visual arts continue to enrich each other and grow together." Available research materials of this artist in the AAAC Archives are 25 slides and a brochure of the artist's teaching class for martial arts. Reviewed by Young Park
