ARTIST ARCHIVE The Asian American Artist Slide Archive is open to all visual artists residing in the United States and its trust territories, and who are of Asian ancestry. Artists whose art work is significantly influenced by Asian culture are also invited to submit work. The artists are responsible for keeping their files updated. This is one of the largest historical archive of near 1000 Asian American artists' materials including biographical materials, publications, statements, reviews, catalogues, invites, notes, video tapes, taped interviews, and samples of works in slides. It documents the development of Asian American art over the last 55 years. The archive has been utilized to organize Arts Centre's Annual Exhibition and publishers, curators, art consultants, community organizations as well as international facilities have used the archive. The submitted materials are reviewed every summer with outside art professionals to organize Asian American Arts |
